(as you can see, the era of European domination in innovation, which likely required money, started way before colonialism, not after)

Here are the 1700s and 1870s. First, the obvious has to be mentioned, not all countries here, and today, even had a single colony, or a single useful one(Germany). Most Europeans were at each others throats, with wars, trade embargoes, so if you want to claim Europe-wide cooperation and sharing of resources, lol.. The 1700s are when only Spain had significant colonies(and really, the only colonies, ever, that significantly contributed to wealth were Mexico/Peru for their gold/silver, India for her textiles, and Indonesia, Africa was NOT one of these and mainly gave us free rubber so we didn't have to buy it from Brazilians to make tires), while Britain had not acquired the very significant India yet. Of course, all of Europe is still on top of the world. Unless you want to argue slaves picking sugar cane or tobacco in the Caribbean made Europe rich during this period, no one other than Spain had significant colonies at the time, and they aren't even #1. 1870 was right before the scramble for Africa.
On another note, we are accused to stealing from Africa. No one stole anything from Africa that was previously being used. All of these were untouched resources. The only time European theft occurred is when the Spanish stole gold from Mexican kings and when the British stole treasures from various Indian princes/monarchs. You can consider the taking over of industries like the textile industry theft, but the British did not spread the wealth any less so than corrupt Indian monarchs did, and there are widely documented mass famines/poverty in India before the British set foot there.

I'm not arguing colonization didn't make Europeans richer. It did. I'm arguing it didn't make us richer than anyone else, and also that it didn't make anyone poorer, as well as that our current wealth is based on a similar system to modern Korea/Japan/Finland/etc, who had no colonies.
The colonization of Africa and other parts of the third world is directly responsible for the births/lives of hundreds of millions of people, if not reaching the billions mark. We shared our technology, tried to educate you, taught your women how to give birth without complications, gave you employment, put an end to slavery and an end to your primitive, backward, violent practices towards your fellow man. It reminds me of the ungrateful German criticizing his Roman conquerors because they taught him well at the cost of "muh pagan traditions".
Our people(foolishly), continue to help you, yet it is not enough. You are all ungrateful, hateful, clannish, brutish and will cause an end to civilization as we know it.
It is not we who owe you reparations, but the opposite.
