The Mysterious "Bag" found around the World!

This artifact seems to appear in many cultures around the world, why? Is there a connection between these cultures? If so, what does this mean? We see iconic reference to some sort of hand bag or satchel in many places around the world. Most of us are aware that the Sumerian culture and other Mesopotamian cultures documented this symbol on relief carvings and even created actual stone bag-shaped objects. In the pics below we see some of these as well as from other places like Indonesia, California, Mexico, Peru and Ireland. What do you guys think?

Assyrian plaques depicting a winged demon and a fish-man/merman from the 9th-8th centuries BCE.

Olmec (circa 1400-400 BCE) Monument 19, from La Venta, Tabasco. The earliest known representation of a feathered serpent in Mesoamerica.

I believe it's natural for the human imagination to combine differences. A winged human. A winged serpent. Two land based creatures. The opposite would be flight.
