To be honest from what I am hearing I am too used to the Brazilian Portuguese accent to be able to connect it to Galician, but I don't doubt that if your mom attempts to speak in Castellano that she might have a similar accent to the Galician one. One of the things we have in common with Galician language is the "g", "j" and "x" sound that usually sounds odd to most Castillian speakers.

Basque language (euskara) is the only one that I don't understand anything at all (I think I understood 1 word, lol). The accent sounds familiar though, similar to other Iberian languages accents. The words or whatever they are saying doesn't sound familiar at all though, completely different.

People who can speak Portuguese or Spanish (or any other Iberian language) which languages do you find more familiar and easy to understand in these videos?
    Same here.

    Galego > Castellano > Catalan > Euskara

Valenciano and Mallorquin (as well as Ibizenco and Menorquin) are just regional variants of Catalan. They are just not called Catalan because they are spoken in neighboring regions (Valencia and Balearic Islands, depending on the case) and not in Catalonia.

I think the reason of this, is because in a great part of Pre-Roman Iberia, natives spoke Basque-like languages, with similar sounding and pronunciation to each other. When they adopted Latin, they did it, but keeping their Iberian-like accents and way of pronouncing.

That's because Valenciano (the Valencian variation of Catalan) has more Castellanisms, compared to Catalan from Catalonia.

Ironically, Mallorquin (the Mallorcan regional variant of Catalan) is more preserved than Catalan from Catalonia itself, which has more Castellanisms compared to Mallorquin.

The explanation to this must be in Balearic Islands being islands, in contrast to Catalonia, which is in mainland, and in more close contact through history, with Castilian regions.

It is more similar to Portuguese but not completely different from Castellano as well. Galicians have their own nation and autonomous space just like Catalans and Basque people, they have their own identity but are part of Spain like the others.
Very true, although these regions have their own regional identity, they share with the rest of Iberians a lot of things in common, and are very close to each other, culturally, racially, genetically, phenotype wise, and historically. Fuck with people who want to divide Iberians as if they were worlds apart from each other.
