The title says it all. I believe that an early English/Plantagenet victory would have meant the survival of the Oďl/Oc languages in France and thus England remaining a Francophonic (and more or less Francophile) country as a result. Unlike a late English victory under the Lancastrian dynasty, which actually did happen and where traditions between both kingdoms had to be respected (since "Englishness" became a more stable notion following numerous victories in its early history).
