Korean is cooler, because it's more complex. There exists a hypothesis about Japanese having an Austronesian substratum based on its coincidental idiosyncrasies with those languages. Now that's interesting. I can't give example for I only read that, but it's even on Wiki I believe that hypothesis.

Might explain Japanese having a less complex phonology and grammar than Korean for instance. Japanese is still a hard language of course, Korean is possibly more so.

I have heard Korean before but it seems less soft but Japanese has soothing sound and seems softer.

Since when does being more complex make something cooler? Just having said that makes you a nigger.

You must have an unusually high amount of subsaharan African DNA, because phonological complexity is a very niggerish thing to prefer. I suggest you call 23andMe right now and demand an explanation.

My favourite languages are Khoi languages indeed.

In all seriousness. It's not far-fetched to compare Japanese to Korean. Though their linguistic kinship is still unproven, the language are fairly alike nonetheless. In my curiosity I have looked up how Korean and Japanese are more or less like, and the first thing I noticed is how Korean has a very complex phonology, unlike Japanese and according to those who speak both languages, also a more complex grammar.

I just typed what I did to root for the Korean underdog.
