Technically Islam is not a race or ethnicity, but in practice certain ethnicities are singled out especially middle easterners, southasians, northafricans and horners. A blonde guy wouldnt face as much islamophobia even if he is a muslim. Do you agree?

The proper term would be "anti-Muslim sentiment" not "Islamophobia". But yes, I agree that it is racism most of the times, but that is not always the case. You can tell that Muslim is often (but not always) used as a dog whistle term to avoid being branded racist because a lot of times when Muslims do non-religiously motivated crimes/bad stuff, they are referenced by their religion rather than their race/ethnicity. For example, when ISIS kills MENA Christians or when ISIS bombed France, then it makes sense to refer to ISIS as Muslims in this context because this was a religiously motivated crime. But when you refer to a Muslim for literally every single bad thing he does by his religion instead of his ethnicity then it its obvious that its being used as a byword because the person is too scared of saying Arab/Turk/Persian/etc. and thus being called a racist for it. It would be like if somebody hated Serbs and whenever Serbs committed a crime, they were solely referenced by their religion and not their ethnicity and then the person claimed they only hated Orthodoxy/Christianity and not Serbs. I know there are many that only hate the ideology and not the people, but its not that hard to tell those who are genuinely anti-Islam and those that are racist. It is similar to people who are racist against Jews but claim they are only anti-Zionist or the people that are sexist against females but claim they are only anti-feminist.

I disagree because you are mixing race with religion. There is a difference between a blonde Muslim and blonde non-Muslim, and a middle eastern Muslim and vice versa, etc

Islamophobia is anti-Arab/Iranian/Turk racism, obviously. If ethnic Swedes practiced Islam originally or if the peoples of the MENA looked like Swedes they would be praised by white nationalists(and hated by most other westerners).
