My family doesn't like immigrants from the developing world coming en masse (because realism), but also they said "Why didn't anyone jump in the water to save the poor guy?"
We - North-Western Europeans - probably also have such heartless people though. The comments section of that very video also is sickening.

The guy in front is yelling 'throw the lifebelt in the water!'. The women in the background, however, shame on them.

no reference to the color of his skin or about he is black ....if he was syrian or of any race nothing could change .

i watched the video and i can understand what they said
the man is a suicide , he don't fall in the water , he jump in the water
the woman voice is the one who say " africa go home"
while the man is the one who repeat many time :

"butta il salvagente , butta il salvagente" = " launch lifebelt , launch lifebelt "
( at the end u can see there are 3 lifebelts , one of them is very close to the man but he never try neither to get one ...so u can hear the man who say
" he is crazy " (in the sense he don't want survive "

it's full winter , the water is around 5 celsius

Islamophobia is just what the etymology of the name implies: FEAR of a religion which requires its devotees to wage ceaseless warfare against infidels. Islam having declared war on the rest of the human race, only those who are unaware of or fail to understand the danger could possibly NOT fear it. Regardless of the race of the infidel, Islam has declared him an enemy and, therefore, is to be feared by ALL races. There is, then, nothing racial about FEAR of Islam, the true meaning of "Islamophobia."

Islamophobia is just USA invention after fall of USSR to manufacture more weapons for personal use as well as selling it to radical "muslims", then have an alibi to exploit all Oil resources in various Arab countries.

Europeans are not good at integrating like Americans are.

Us Americans cherish are values that anyone can become just as American as anyone already here.

If anything Muslims fit in better with White Americans than they do with Europeans. Think of it. Americans are far more religious than Europeans, they drink less alcohol than Europeans, they eat less pork than Europeans,they circumcise, etc..

The average devout Muslim has more in common with a person from Texas or Nebraska than they do with any European.

We Americans enjoy our red meat. We prefer Rx drugs to alcohol and yes are mostly all circumcised. Europe mostly I assume use cattle for dairy and cheese. We have wide open land for cattle grazing here.

yes in europe we eat rabbit , it's not common but we eat sometimes
well i don' t like it much ..it is about 5 years i don't eat one .

I think american christians are a little more weird ..or at least they are weird for us
all those preachers in usa ( u can see in tv too ) here don't exist at all ...and they can be really strange endeed.

No. I mean it really depends on the person but I think Bavaria has a much saner idea than the rest of Germany, for example, to allow 200,000 people per year and ban face veils. If Merkel's people consider that racist, they're just being unreasonable. You can't just invite millions of people over unrestricted and not ask them to assimilate to your culture. What people are afraid of, I think, is the liberal madness which would allow excess, chaotic immigration and blatant disrespect of European or American values.

I do not agree with Trumps travel ban, I do think that was racist, but I think it's perfectly reasonable what Obama Era administration was doing with vetting/screening. I don't think he ever allowed things to get out of control.

It's normal for people to be wary of a historically oppositional religion, or of people who say they intend to Islamize the globe. I doubt very seriously that the same people are as wary of Syrian Christians (even Trumps people seem fine with that) or that they are more relieved if the race of an Islamist, is not Arabic, but is a crazy person from a European country or the US who got involved with IS.

Reason why many non-muslims who aren't white (just browns and blacks mainly) equate it to racism is out of 'third world solidarity'. I think it's sad this mentality exists for it's very detrimental and only serves to divide society more. And religion deserves to get treated honestly.
