    Default Nationalist Resurgence in Europe

Today's world is shaken and weakened by the serious political problems that are felt within societies. Evidence of that is the specific case of Europe, being obvious that the countries that make up this continent are going through a difficult time due to the crisis and recessionary period.

Everywhere we see a weariness of citizenship in general with the directions of national public policies increasingly subordinated to the dictates of European Union bureaucracy and, ultimately, to the speculative agenda of high globalized finance, which has long failed to support the real economy.

Due to it, far-right parties have been evolving significantly and are emerging political forces in several European countries, most of the time seen as a viable alternative. But what is so called far-right? Ideologically, the extreme right or radical right represents the highest degree of rightism in the ideological-political spectrum.

The rise of the right came not only by appealing to the classic reactionary campaigns, but also by those against globalization, the arrival of new refugees or asylum-seekers, and the specter of the "Islamization" of society. On the basis of its success was, above all, the demand for policies traditionally left wing, in favor of the Social State. It is, however, a new type of welfare. No longer universal and inclusive, like that of the past, but founded on a different principle: access to rights and services exclusively to the members of the pre-existing national community.

Much of this resurgence has been pushed forward by young Europeans who joined these political forces, tired of promises and social unrest. These young people are more critical of rulers and are concerned about the future and their cultural identity, fearing the burgeoning growth of immigration.

The purpose of this thread will be to try to combine here the few European members we have that share the same ideological mindset. TA is obviously not an eurocentric forum as it claims to be, the reality is that it tends to generate the opposite effect: division.

Sharing and exchanging ideas, articles, news, statistics, e-books, any relevant material is welcome.

Another reminder is that this thread is European oriented: for Europeans with the same interests and concerns. Hopefully we can keep it that way (a moderator back up would be appreciated in case there's unnecessary off-topic and trolling).

I will try to do a core glossary for this thread from time to time when I have chances in a attempt to try to cover all the different variants of nationalism. Bare in mind that I translate it from Portuguese to English most of the time from books and material I own, so it might take some time (and probably some English mistakes, if you notice feel free to correct me).

    Europeanism

Europeanism is a political and cultural current based on the idea that the peoples of Europe share a unique ethnocultural matrix, notwithstanding their specific identities, and must collectively develop the unity of the continent.

    Identitarian Ideal

The Ideal of Identity represents a current of European nationalism that emerged in the late twentieth century under the influence of thinkers and ideologists like Robert Steuckers, Guillaume Faye, Pierre Vial, among others, differing in ideological terms and the political doctrine of traditional nationalist movements. The Ideal of Identity is openly ethnocentric and promotes ethno-differentialism, a concept that aims at the preservation of peoples and their respective cultures, with a view to a development based on the "right to difference" and the "right of peoples to be themselves".

For identitarians, the existence of differences between peoples is an unquestionable fact, whether from the perspective of anthropology, history, culture, traditions, manners or mentalities, and any attempt at conviviality on the same territory inevitably generates racism and consequently conflicts.

The term identity was for the first time politically employed by Pierre Vial to define a conception of the ethnocentric world that sought to overcome the concept of nationalism, considered insufficient to respond to the new challenges imposed on Europe at the dawn of the twenty-first century.

Knowing a positive response on the part of numerous sectors of the French nationalist movement, organizational structures were immediately created that assumed the Ideal of Identity, leading to a discernible distinction between the traditional nationalist movement and the identity movement. Guillaume Luyt, leader of the Bloc Identitaire wrote:

"To nationalism - the ideology of the nation - we prefer patriotism, the carnal rooting of our land. A patriotism that we dare to affirm triple: regional (the carnal homeland), French (historical homeland), European (civilizational homeland). "The Portuguese identity of the Identity Cause, in turn, add that the Identity Ideal expresses itself in a consequent Europeanism".

    Identity parties and movements

Following the example of identitarians in France, there are now several identity groups in many European countries. In Portugal there is the Causa Identitária, in Belgium the Nation party and to some extent the Flemings of Vlaams Belang, in Spain the meta-political association Tierra y Pueblo and the collective Asamblea Identitaria, in Italy there are several associations, among them Blocco Identitario, or In Switzerland Les Identitaires de Romandie.

    Third Position

Third Position is a nationalist political strand that emphasises its opposition to both communism and capitalism. Advocates of third position views present themselves as neither left nor right, instead taking a more syncretic stance.
The Third Position ideology was first developed by Roberto Fiore, along with Gabriele Adinolfi and Peppe Di Mitri, in the tradition of Italian fascism. Third Position is characterized by a militarist formulation, an extreme nationalism looking favourably to national liberation movements, support for racial separatism and the adherence to a 'soldier style of life'

In order to construct a cultural background for the ideology, Fiore looked to the ruralism of Julius Evola and sought to combine it with the desire for a cultural-spiritual revolution and the creation of a omul nou (new man) as called for by Corneliu Zelea Codreanu. He adopted some of the positions of the contemporary New Right, notably the ethnopluralism of Alain de Benoist and the Europe-wide appeal associated with such views as the Europe a Nation campaign of Oswald Mosley (amongst others). Fiore was one of the founders of the Terza Posizione movement in 1979. Third Position ideas are now represented in Italy by Forza Nuova, led by Fiore.

Omul Nou and the Legionary Movement

The Legionary Movement aimed to create a New Man (Omul Nou), to transform the entire nation through Legionary education by transforming each individual into a person of quality. The New Man would be more honest and moral, more intelligent, industrious, courageous, willing to sacrifice, and completely free of materialism. His view of the world would be centered around spirituality, service to his nation, and love of his fellow countrymen. This new and improved form of human being would transform history, setting the foundations of a new era never before seen in Romanian history.

Codreanu wrote, “We shall create an atmosphere, a moral medium in which the heroic man can be born and can grow. This medium must be isolated from the rest of the world by the highest possible spiritual fortifications. It must be defended from all the dangerous winds of cowardice, corruption, licentiousness, and of all the passions which entomb nations and murder individuals. Once the Legionary will have developed in such a milieu… he shall be sent into the world… He will be an example; will turn others into Legionaries. And people, in search of better days, will follow him… will make a force which will fight and will win.” Therefore, a spiritual revolution would create the basis for a political revolution, since without the New Man no political program could achieve any lasting accomplishment.

Nationalism won't change a thing because it won't fight the elites and take down the banks.

I wonder though what's the difference between a city dweller native and a city dweller immigrant. They both serve no cause, unless the immigrant is a Muslim , then he doesnt serve the system and "cleansing" him will help the system milking its own people more efficient . But at least you'll have safety , lmao.

Like I said this thread purpose is to combine here the few members of TA that identity themselves as nationalist or share a similar ideological spectrum. It's not meant for people who do not agree with it and want to debate on why you don't agree with it. You can create another thread for that purpose if you want, because that type of discussion will completely deviate the purpose of this one.

With that said, I will answer you this time but I will ignore further posts that are not adding anything to the thread: honestly what made you believe that nationalist movements, organizations or parties when in power do not fight the establishment like the current elites and the banks? Because history show us exactly the opposite. The vast majority did and the most known and studied example can be found in Hitler's reformations. One of the first things he did was fix the corrupt, debt-based financial system. By completely thwarting the international banking cartels, the Nazi government issued its own currency known as Reich Marchs, which were debt free and uncontrollable by international financial interests. He literally broke free from the international banking cartels. When we talk about elites it's even more obvious, he completely replaced them.... therefore I am wondering how you got the idea that nationalism can not be a viable solution for those two concerns.

‘Why not?’ France’s far-right party says it could replicate Trump’s ban if Le Pen is elected

France could implement a travel ban similar to the one in the United States if far-right National Front candidate Marine Le Pen is elected president this spring, a party leader said Monday.

President Trump on Friday signed orders to not only suspend admission of all refugees into the United States for 120 days but also to implement “new vetting measures” to screen out “radical Islamic terrorists.” Refugee entry from Syria, however, would be suspended indefinitely, and all travel from Syria and six other nations — Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen — is suspended for 90 days.

Steeve Briois, the National Front party's vice president and a member of Le Pen's campaign, told Agence France-Presse that they would certainly be open to copying Trump's ban in France.

“And why not?” said Briois, who also is the mayor of Henin-Beaumont, a city about 125 miles north of Paris. “We are no longer in the world of the Care Bears. We are in a horrible world, so sometimes you have to take measures of authority, even if it shocks.”

Trump also said he would give priority to Christian refugees over those of other religions, according to the Christian Broadcasting Network. The president and his supporters have continued to insist it is not a ban on Muslims.

Throughout the weekend, the order sowed confusion at numerous airports as travelers from the affected countries were denied entry. The ban also drew lawsuits, massive protests and sharp rebukes from domestic lawmakers and leaders around the world.

“All is going well,” Trump said.

Despite the chaos, Briois on Monday said it was Trump's prerogative to enact such a ban.

“It is true that the United States are a target for jihadists so if [Trump] wishes to protect himself by barring entry on his territory for people from those countries, that is his right,” Briois told AFP. “It is unfortunate for those [caught up in the ban] who have nothing to do with it.”

Le Pen has not spoken publicly about the travel ban, according to the Local. Since the beginning of her campaign, she has maintained that she wants to pull France out of the European Union, reinforce the country's borders and crack down on immigration.

This month, during Trump's transition period, Le Pen was spotted at Trump Tower in New York, although she did not say whether she met with the then-president-elect while there.

Over the weekend, however, Le Pen posted a defense of Trump on Twitter.

“What bothers the media and politicians is that Trump respects his commitments and implements his programs,” Le Pen tweeted Saturday.

A recent poll shows Le Pen with a slight lead in the election's first round in April, with 25 percent of the votes, Reuters reported.

Meanwhile, center-right candidate Francois Fillon, who won the national primaries in November, came in at 21 to 22 percent of the vote in that poll, ceding some votes as he is caught up in an employment scandal involving his wife. Fillon has said he may drop out of the presidential race if a judge decides to pursue a formal case against him.

Seen as Le Pen's toughest competitor, Fillon has also taken a hard-line stance on immigration. He reiterated that stance in a tweet Sunday, saying he wanted “strict administrative control over the Muslim faith” in France.
The poll showed that centrist candidate Emmanuel Macron would earn 20 to 21 percent of the vote.

On Sunday, Socialist Benoit Hamon won the country's leftist primary. Experts say the leftist party is very unlikely to win the presidential race, given the rise of populism and nationalism around the world.
France's unpopular president, François Hollande of the Socialist party, announced last month that he would not seek reelection despite being eligible for another term.

The two rounds of the election will take place in late April and early May.

    I am for Europeanism!

Europe without Germanic, Slavic, Arab and Turkish peoples!

Italia, Balkans, Greece should be "Emperors of Europe" as it's rightful owner.

    National Syndicalism

National Syndicalism is a nationalist variant of syndicalism typically associated with the labor movement in Italy which would later become a basis of Benito Mussolini’s National Fascist Party.

Unlike anarcho-syndicalists, trade unionists, and Marxist elements of the Italian labor movement, the national syndicalists supported Italy’s involvement in World War I. They also rejected the internationalism of the anarchists and Marxists in favor of militarism and nationalism.
National syndicalists imagined that the liberal democratic political system would be destroyed in a massive general strike, at which point the nation’s economy would be transformed into a corporatist model based on class collaboration, contrasted with Marxist class struggle. But national syndicalists also publicly declared their opposition to bourgeoisie-class rule and instead supported a strong "proletarian nation" which would rid itself of class-based society and convert it to a national society. National syndicalists typically opposed communism, capitalism, liberalism, forms of socialist-oriented syndicalism and any other internationalist movement which was deemed to be threatening the strength and/or unity of the nation.
Some famous advocates of National Syndicalism are the Italian Alceste De Ambris, British Union of Fascists leader Sir Oswald Mosley, and Italian Fascist Party member Sergio Panunzio.

    Iberian context

National syndicalism in the Iberian Peninsula was a political theory very different from the fascist idea of corporatism, inspired by Integralism and the Action Française. It was formulated in Spain by Ramiro Ledesma Ramos in a manifesto published in his periodical La Conquista del Estado on March 14, 1931.
National syndicalism was intended to win over the anarcho-syndicalist Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT) to a corporatist nationalism. Ledesma's manifesto was discussed in the CNT congress of 1931. However, the National Syndicalist movement effectively emerged as a separate political tendency. Later the same year, Juntas de Ofensiva Nacional-Sindicalista was formed, and subsequently voluntarily fused with Falange Espańola. In 1936 Franco forced a further less voluntary merger with traditionalist Carlism, to create a single party on the Nationalist side of the Spanish Civil War. It was one of the ideological bases of Francoist Spain, especially in the early years.

The ideology was present in Portugal with the Movimento Nacional-Sindicalista (active in the early 1930s), its leader Francisco Rolăo Preto being a collaborator of Falange ideologue José Antonio Primo de Rivera.
The Portuguese national syndicalists, also called the "Blue Shirts" (camisas azuis), followed the tradition of uniformed right-wing paramilitary groups, advocating syndicalism and unionism, as opposed to the corporativist state championed by the fascists, especially Benito Mussolini's brand of Italian fascism.
