According to the news piece, that family went through 13 years of agonizingly slow and torturous bureaucracy only to have their relatives turned back. It's unfortunate, but the U.S. needs to restrict all manner of immigration; my primary concerns at this point are the deportation of illegals and immigrants subsisting on government programs/"welfare", modification of the 14th amendment to prevent rampant exploitation, and a much more merit-based immigration overhaul (eg. only allow high skill workers who are needed)
