The store I work at is closing and one of the reasons people gave was that everyone was just shopping online instead.
Why?
I paid 99 dollars for a years subscription to Amazon Prime because you supposedly got free two day shipping yet half the items I've order did not arrive within two days.Often, the same item will be sold with and without "free" two day shipping available, the Amazon Prime one is often a few dollars more in price, about the cost for shipping.
It's touted as being more "convenient" as opposed to going to a regular store yet I fail to see why that is. Unlike online, you can actually see something, touch it,try it on and get it immediately and without shipping fees as opposed to having to wait often a week or more. Where is the convenience?
Not to mention it's nice to go into a real store and interact with people.
Is getting into a car and walking around a store really too much of a hassle for most people nowadays? Fat lazy idiots.
