Good for Croatia, all European countries should do the same.

As NATO member we are obliged to have professional and well trained army. Conscription serves as relatively cheap and efficient way to learn huge number of young people basic firearms training, so in case of emergency, they will be prepared.
Actually, women kicked ass as snipers and tank drivers in the Soviet army. And Israeli army which is one of the best in the world has many women too.

I agree that ideally women shouldn't be in the military , but it's a valid solution for countries with small populations , like Croatia.

Brazil uses full conscription and the only result of it is one year after we have bandits and criminals with military training and tatics to confront our own police and even sometimes our own army.

We are even exporting trouble with brazilians fighting in Donetsk and Lugansk:

The main problem to have your whole population with military training is if they revolt against you.

They can serve in Croatia's army only if they live in Croatia and have their citizenship.

Otherwise, the Bosnian Armed Forces are based on the principles of territorial majority. This means that, in majority-Croat parts of Bosnia, Croats are the majority of the soldiers there.

Yugoslav partisans believer in the chetnik ideology, but could not display it openly because otherwise they couldn't recruit naive Croats and Bosniaks, which were necessary for victory. We shouldn't make a difference between a Serb and a chetnik, the two are exactly the same thing.

You simply can't compare multi-racial New World creation Brazil with homogeneous country like Croatia. I have lot of respect for your special ops in a way, nevertheless.

Even a homogeneous country like Albania has mafia. Any criminal organization is waiting new recuits, especally those well trained. Possible future for Croatia is provide combatents for Ukraine.

They won't be included, I have a Bosnian citizenship but it's just on the paper, the reality is that I live in Belgium and I pay my taxes here. Same for those Bosnian Croats. Do you really believe there is someone working in the administration in Zagreb who has a register where Josip, 18, born and raised in Bosnia owner of a Croatian citizenship fits for that military training? He can only if he launches the administrative procedure by himself, but who would do that?

I don't know man, they say military training will take course over summer so it is possible some young Bosnian Croats who come to Zagreb for study go trough the process before college. I doubt anyone would turn them down if they posses a citizenship and already live in Croatia.
