People struggle to realize that anyone who work for salary is proletarian by definition. Even if it's CEO of large transnational corporation.

They also fail to understand that the state of the wage earner is little different from that of the serf, except for superficially. But the serf at least knew that he was a serf. The wage earner doesn't only think that he's a free worker earning money by the sweat of his brow, he also thinks that he's a little king, among many others, through his right to vote.
