"The Macedonian names of nearly all Macedonian families were forcibly changed in the 1920’s into Greek ones. Nowadays, it is in theory possible to revert to the old names, but as the example of Stoidis showed, it is practically not only difficult but also risky, hence hardly anyone is using it. On 16/8/1996, the prefect of Pella rejected the request of Nicholas Stoidis to change his last name back into Stojanov -his ‘indigenous Bulgaromacedonian’ -as N. Stoidis calls him- grandfather’s name that was forcefully “Hellenized” in 1913. The rejection was based on three citizens’ objections which though were never given to N. Stoidis. In the meantime, Stoidis’ request, though classified ‘top secret’ by the administration- was leaked to the media with the obvious purpose that Stoidis be harassed by those objecting to his request, which did in fact happen in both local and national media."

I believe there has been too much hate towards the Macedonians on this forum because they have been seen as easy targets. Had this sub-section had any life then this thread would've been lit.

I'm not Albanian Macedonian though, I'm from Kosovo. I just like to focus my hatred on the Serboi and the Arvanitovlachs, not enough left over for the Macedonians especially if Albanian becomes an official language there.

What happened to the Sokol guy? He left the forum? There was also the Bugarash guy, he wasn't Macedonian but he made great discussion threads here.

Bugarash banned Sokol which is in line with the anti-Macedonian character of this forum. I asked my account to be banned too so I will not waste my time in useless business. They didn't ban my account probably they need at least one Macedonian to participate.

Ok so that explains why Sokol is gone. Why is Bugarash gone then?

Mods can be annoying as hell when they are too obviously biased.

We'd need a good 2-3 more Macedonians to get some flow on this sub-section, Macedonia is in the middle of some changing times in the coming decade it's probably the most interesting part of the balkans right now.

What he wrote in Macedonian was not just misspelled but the structure of the words was not Macedonian. There are few other Macedonian participates but they quit easily when faced with the Greek, Bulgarian and Albanian posters. The moderator always has been pro-Bulgarian or Bulgarian as it was Bugarash. Why Bugarash is keeping quit now I don’t know. I am Macedonian Canadian and I am trying to help my countrymen in this peril times.

I don't know if there are specific words for that, but literally Rocket=Ракета; Launcher= Фрлачка; Hand=Рачна; granade =Граната
There are some expressions which serve as jocks Like Собата на куровата работа = porodiliste

Can you tell me what words he told you? I am curious to know. I believe those are words from the joke arsenal. We normally say how you say some words in Prilepski and those expressions probably have been spread out across Yugoslavia as in Makedonski language. The citizens of Prilep tend to twist some words or even to translate names. I have heard how to say Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj in Macedonian (Prilepski) and the translation is "Јонче Јончески Ламјата/Jonce Jonceski Lamjata"
