You can invest in a business (silent partner) while having an H1-B visa but you can't be working in that business. A H1-B visa is specific to the employer you're working for. To work for anyone else (or yourself) is a violation.

I know nothing about the Chinks and Koreans, but I can 100% guarantee you the people who Indians negotiate with to buy hotels and gas stations are Anglo White Americans, east Asians, or Iranians. Get used to it because every gas station, Comfort Inn, or EconoLodge in your town will eventually be under the ownership of a Gujarati.
