The Crown of Saint Stephen was the coronation crown used by the Kingdom of Hungary. Kings have been crowned with it since the twelfth century.
In the history of Hungary, more than fifty kings were crowned with it. The last sovereign to be crowned was Charles IV in 1916.
It was first called the Holy Crown in 1256.

It couldn't be called Holy Crown in 13th century, cause the only Crown in Europe till 1453 was
Roman Emperor (Caesar/Basileus).

Everyone else was considered barbarian invader.

Only the people under the crown of Roman Emperor were considered Europeans/non-Invaders or at least rebels in some cases.

When barbarians captured Rome, they setup their figurehead who crowned Charlemagne and other so called "Kings"???
That's typical breach of etiquette against the Caesar/Basileos. Pope could only be appointed by the Emperor and no other ways
around.

It's strictly forbidden for a Christian to have more than One Emperor (ruler) as Patriarch Antony said:
