That is the world we live in now as technology develops the smaller the world gets. Not to say I am for it as I'm more into community grass roots & preserving cultures than the wider world.
Nations have only just begun to fight it in different ways and it will get more intense in the future, good or bad depending on peoples views.
UK out of the EU or not wont be much different to globalisation, we will make trade deals.

Anglo-Saxon is obsessed with making money and material wealth. Canada and New Zealand are more liberal, though.
As for philosophy, I prefer continental philosophy, by far:
-Anglo-Saxon philosophy is analytic philosophy, focusing on logic positivism, language structure, pure mathematics...How dull it is!
-Continental philosophy is more fascinating: questioning epistemology, metaphysics, ethics, psychoanalysis, God, free will, determinism, arts, the world considered as a whole...
