    More than half of the saints of Orthodox Church are Greeks so i cant post all of them here,
    most famous are Saint Georgios (George,Yiorgo etc)
    Saint Dimitrios (Dimitrius,Dimitri etc)
    Saint Nikolaos (Niko, Nikolai etc)

    You are talking to someone who isn't quite capable of seeing intellectual nuances. He thinks that saints are worshiped as gods, rather than simply being revered as extraordinarily holy men. Or it could be that he understands that but needs to signal virtue. At the same time, in a sense it isn't wholly unreasonable to think in that way, although unsophisticated. Saints served a similar function in the Middle Ages as the pagan pantheons did in antiquity and as our contemporary celebrity culture does today. We even call these celebrities idols, which they are. His accusation of idolatry, while off the mark and ignorant, is understandable.
