In the last decade of the 19th Century, and first, second and third decades of the 20th Century, Armenians settled in Fresno, California. In fact, my own grandparents had a farm in Fresno. Fresno was the prelude to the 21st Century "Little Armenia" in Glendale. Why did they come to Fresno? Well, much of it had to do with the climate similarity to the Western Armenian Highlands, as well as the abundant agricultural harvests there.

* Having said that, the Winter Climate of Fresno is no way similar to that of the Wintertime snow in the Western Armenian Highlands.

I won't even say what country or locality these pictures are from, but if you are from the Caucasus/Iran or California I bet you can only tell them apart if you know the species of trees

But if you go up North in the Redwoods, it has warm summers and snowy winters

Med Climates are the only way to live. As someone said, San Luis Obispo is a bit of a cutoff point between a true Med Climate and a rainy northern California climate. #CoastalLiving

Grew up in coastal California and haven't travelled to Europe but I can imagine the similarity. I'm fairly pale but only had to wear sunscreen during summers when spending hours on end in the sun without shade, like at the beach.

Same here. Where I have lived has a lot of fog or overcast skies in the morning. Burns off by noon.

If you're not living in a Med climate, what is the point of life?

I don't think. There's superficially a similarity between some areas, but don't forget that Apennines, Pyrenees and so on are in Europe. They have a cold climate.
