    Default The Investure of The Prince of Wales in 1911

    Prince Edward, the eldest son and heir of King George V of Great Britain, was actually created Prince of Wales on his 16th birthday, June 23, 1910. The investure occurred on July 13, 1911. Edward wore ceremonial robes. The investure ceremony took place at Carnarvon Castle. Later Edward became Edward VIII, but was not crowned as King.
