In the past yes, just like it happened all over the world including precious Christian Europe. Nowadays not so much. In the past it was different, most would not do it now. There is no part in the Quran or Hadith encouraging Muslims to marry Young. It happened then but it was never incorporated as a encouragement.

Its better to have exposure to these things (female body) and various other things in life. Constant exposure means you can discipline yourself to control urges and react in a desirable way. We cant keep running away and hiding because of other peoples urges thats immature.

In this case it's more about suppression than about training ^

Burkini is the same thing as Halal mcDonalds, you mix Western way of life and some religious presciptions, it's quite sad.
The purpose of exposing skin among European female is to capt D vitamin and stay healthy, not everyone is tanned and have sun 365 days/year...

However, this should be universally accepted. In all countries. Else, each country should issue their own rules, and if they don't like it, just don't enter it .
Well it's all relative, in some Muslim countries woman in bikini would be viewed as "disaster" of humanity, but here in Croatia (Roman Catholic realm lol), every woman, and I MEAN EVERY WOMAN WHO WOULD WEAR BURKINI on beach would be mocked, teased and laughed from all corners of beach.

I cannot even imagine to see reactions of Croats when they would see a woman in burkini, I just cannot even imagine it. No one would do anything except laughter on every corner of beach, I think such woman would run away from beach in matter of 10-15 minutes because she just couldn't be able to stand all that mocking eye-looks, sarcastic laughter toward her.

I'm not sayin I would laugh as well but sure as Hell I wouldn't be like; "that's normal" lol.

So It's all relative, somewhere Burkini is a matter of choice, here if you would wear Burkini you would know your day on beach will be one circle of Hell for sure.

If anyone doubt this, please, come and wear burkini here, but I'm not responsible for any psychological trauma of that particular woman's day on beach, I'm just saying how it would be.

People would look at her with that kind of sacrastic and mocking-style look that it would be worse than actually if someone would say to her anything, if she would be there for 5 hours, she would be experiencing that look from entire beach for 5 hours. We are here like capital place of Sarcasm, nevermind is it with words, eye-looks, or whatever, sarcasm here is natural thing, we grew up on it, so I cannot even imagine what would be a day of a woman with Burkini in beach here.

I'm not saying this is polite, I'm saying this is only natural to happen, and fact.

P.S. This wouldn't maybe happen in northern parts of Croatia, but in Dalmatia for sure, for sure.

In the past the low class used to work outdoors so they used to tan. Tanned skin was an indicator of poverty whereas rich people remained indoors so they used to stay white. white skin was seen as superior..

I don't understand the polemic around the Burkini. Muslim women in France can go outside with their Islamic outfits. For instance, they can go shopping in a normal supermarket with their headscarves. So why now it's a problem if they cover themselves when they swim? If the first situation is allowed then the 2nd situation should also be allowed. If the country wants to ban the burkini then all the religious outfits should be forbidden. A lot of blah blah for nothing.

There's nothing wrong about women showing their body, the same way men do. I don't see Muslim men showing body causing as much controversy for conservative Muslims. The beach goes with swimsuits and such. Traditional/irrelevant clothes on the beach is visual pollution imo, I don't support a ban tho.

There's a French person in this forum who wants death penalty for homosexuals. You shouldn't draw such conclusions from marginal personal opinions in this forum.

Swimsuits and bikinis are common in Turkey. Burqinis and that kind of thing would also be regarded as marginal at any beach (I've seen traditional clothes but never ever seen a Burqini). I've spent a lot of time at beaches, with family or friends. Don't give a wrong image of Turkey.

It's true that this kind of creatures who are uncomfortable with women participating in social life exist, but Turkish women still continue doing so no matter what.
