That's up to Europeans. Personally, I think the race of the person matters more than her clothing choices. But if Europeans consider burkas categorically non-European and choose to ban them, then more power to them.

That would not violate the freedom of clothing choice?

And, Church would not like it either...

Yes, it would. But as you and I both know, if native Europeans were the only ones concerned, no one would care to wear a burka, and the few who would wouldn't pose a cultural threat.

And now, you're just being silly. I guarantee you burka laws don't apply to nuns' habits.

This is tough to read this from Turkish member as your country was one of the first about women rights and as they could dress like they wanted to.

I didn't even read it until now. Not a comment I'd expect from Manzikert, supporting gender segregation like that. Yikes.

I can understand europeans concern about cultural invasion. I also find it weird that muslims migrate to christian countries instead of countries like Saudi Arabia and complain they are not allowed to practise their religion freely. This is hypocrisy to me too.

I just can not find an answer to when a dress is a religous symbol/sign and when it is a choise..

Outrage is far less big when Westerners impose dresscodes to other Westerners though. You wouldn't see people take to the street and yell their rights are abused.

It's always a choice. It's what that choice represents. A Moslem woman wearing a burka represents a cultural threat. A nun or a conservatively dressed Christian woman do not. And it's about numbers, too. Even the most racist/xenophobic Westerners wouldn't have an issue with foreigners in extremely small numbers; it's the onslaught that makes it a problem.
