US performance by European ethnic group

So, pan-European egalitarians often cite US(a richer and more equal opportunity society than the entirety of Europe) nationwide income/education levels by European ethnicity to prove that muh Mafia and less funded education system is oppressing southern Italy or whatever other excuse they have for the failures of the south, likely right after bad mouthing Arab migrants even though these Arabs are the main thing that differs southerners from other Europeans. Eastern Europeans similarly have the communism scapegoat(although a much better scapegoat that actually does approach a legit argument, but still falls short because IQ and academic results actually don't correlate with government money spent on education, especially in the US where much more government money is spent per black student than white student). The data they provide is correct, southern/eastern Europeans, on a nationwide per capita level are equal to or outperform western/northern Europeans, both in terms of education and income. The problem with this is the extremely common knowledge of differing regions having different costs of living, and differing regions(rural vs urban) also paying different salaries for the same job, as well as differing ease of access to post secondary education. It's also very common knowledge that southern and eastern Europeans are going to be much more urban than the earlier founding American stock of British, Irish, German, French and Scandos.

Obviously, we need to look at urban or region specific numbers to get a gist of various European performance within the same circumstances, not nationwide. Surely this is the only way to get an accurate picture, rather than "hey look Long Island, NY has richer and more educated people than West Virginia, obviously that means Italians are as smart or smarter". Thanks to the extremely meticulous US census bureau, we can do exactly that.

Honestly, this is probably the best thing we have after IQ tests. The cultural and circumstantial differences(especially since all Europeans are seen as fully "white" in the US) would be non-existent in the same region of a rich and equal opportunity country like the US, you have to think all the differences will be due to genetics in this scenario, more so than comparing European countries outright.

In short, pan-European egalitarians BTFO.

Few notes:

Spoiler!

- All eastern European ethnicities save for Croatian, Serbian, Slovak will have highly inflated numbers due to US Ashkenazi Jews. Poles or Romanians would be the least affected by this from the rest(about 60% of the Polish sample identifies Catholic) while Russians, Latvians and Lithuanians are the most(0% of the Russian sample actually identified as Orthodox in the ASVAB sample)
- I included some non-European ethnicities, just because. I expect a lot of "so you admit Indians are the master race?", but the Indian phenomenon in North America has already been explained a billion times, high skilled, highly selected green card only immigration out of a country of 1 billion people, unlike say Mexican immigration, the majority of which is done through family reunion schemes. Nonetheless, their highschool dropout rates are pretty dismal, racial regression to the mean kicking in for the children of these immigrants?
- The areas where certain ethnicities are not included are that way because there was no data on them(little to none of them in said area or sample), not because I purposefully left them out. All the ethnicities in the US nationwide section were set as criteria.
- A significant portion southern Europeans in the US will be mixed with northerners, and not vice versa because there's simply a lot more northern/central Europeans in the US than southern, so, these are not your fresh off the boat Ellis Island Sicilians or Greeks.
- Keep in mind that US Italians(or well, Sicilians, since Sicilians are really the only inbred Italians) will have been pretty outbred by now. US Albanians are likely still heavily inbred like their countrymen back home as they are recent immigrants to the US.
- The Portuguese numbers seem abnormally low. The Massachusetts sample claims their ancestors came from Latin America rather than Europe, at a rate of 15%, while the entire US sample had 23%, so that's one possible explanation(and we know how Portuguese self identified Brazilians are). I also have data for Toronto ethnic groups and Portuguese seem to do dismal there too, but I've met "Portuguese" people here and a lot do seem to be actually Brazilian.
- The nationwide Spaniard sample is also abnormally low, but most Spaniards in the US are heavily Mexican admixed rural New Mexicans along with other SW US Americans. The number of people responding two or more races as opposed to one confirms this. Look at the NYC numbers if you want a better idea of Spaniard performance in the US, atleast their education numbers.
- It could be argued that "oh, Italians/etc only have lower data because there's still a bunch of surviving old fresh off the boat peasant Italians who didn't have access to highschool in Italy, you have to look at 18-24/24-35, not 25+". There's three problems with this. Firstly, northern/central European populations have much more old people than southern Euros in the US. Secondly, there was nearly no immigration of Italians(or eastern Euros) from 1924-1965 to the US, due to the extreme quota from that immigration bill, there were more Italians leaving the US than coming in from that time period. The vast majority of Italians in the US are pre-1924 descendant, so all these fresh off the boat peasants are dead by now. Third, I've quickly brushed through the data that breaks down age groups, and it looks even worse for southern Euros when you break it down to young age groups. There's no percentage numbers unfortunately, but for example in Boston: 3,007 German males aged 18-24 - 74 Graduate or professional degrees, 64 highschool dropouts, 4730 Italian males aged 18-24 - 54 Graduate or professional degrees, 211 highschool dropouts. For ages 25-34, 3,777 Germans - 1,231/38, 5,911 Italians - 1,425/57.
- There's a literal national crisis in the US with tens of millions of Mexicans coming into the US which may as well be ISIS armies on your border, and no one gives a shit. Hilarious.
