To me, I can understand it as much as Moroccan or "Darija" Arabic dialects

Hahah, I randomly watched this video earlier today after reading GiCas post about Malta/Greece/Sicily. She mentioned that the language was very Semitic so I typed in Maltese language on yt.

Not Moroccan, sounds like Tunisian with a HUGE Italian accent + Italian words there and there...
I think without their "prononciation", I would understand them better... it's difficult
Maybe a Tunisian would understand them more than I am, my dialect is different
Probably if they speak slowly, I would understand them better
