LePen will win in the end, the difference is too small.

As expected. There is not a single chance MLP will win it. As predicted too, even Fillon just called to vote Macron.

France will have its very own Tony Blair come round 2, hitting the middle ground, unfortunately will annoy many here. A Clinton/Blair mix mash.

i don't think so. All the left-and right-wing parties will unite to counterattack Le Pen's anti-EU attacks.

So predictable but still funny to see these candidates offering their ass and acting like traitors to their electors just to "avoid Marine Le Pen". As if she was worse than voting for your opposite candidate for the only reason which is "fear of leaving EU".

Regardless of the election result, I really like the French system because it lets you blow out steam against the establishment in the 1st round, but then have a period of reflection and ultimately do the right thing for your country in the 2nd round. Seems like a sensible way of doing things. Undoubtedly Trump would not have won if they had this system in the States

Anyway, I think that Le Pen's chances of getting enough support in the second round are frankly small.

The electoral college model is great IMO, I don't know if the French system has it too, so I'm talking about the American electoral college. And the French way, to require majority for one candidate, or else a 2nd round with only two choices, is also good. A combination would be preferable.
Pigs can fly... in your face.
