For exactly the same job, women get paid just as much as men for this type of job.

But occupational profiles of men and women are different (statistically speaking).

In the public sector that's true, not in the private one.

Back then, the wife would focus on home-keeping while the husband focused on his trade (blacksmith, baker & etc.). When the husband becomes sick, the wife takes over and tries to the best of her ability to imitate his work until he gets back on his feet, otherwise the family gets poor & starves during his down-time. Same can be said for the woman in the event of her illness, the man would juggle taking care of the kids and cooking/gathering in addition to his existing workload until she recovers.

Don't really care if anyone here disagrees, but I believe women and men belong in different fields. Women are good at being doctors, nurses, secretaries, librarians. Men are better at the rough stuff.

It's not really a question of can women do the same as a man, yeah they can... but why should they? Career-oriented women are the reason your (European) per-capita family pumps out only 1.2 kids (barely higher birth rate than death rate) and that's why you're dying as a people. Adios.
