I think American vs. European women is a false dichotomy to begin with. America is large place and internally it is culturally diverse. This diversity is even more pronounced in Europe, comprised of different nations with their own long and unique history and very different cultures between them. For instance, Greek women are somewhat different from German women in many ways. English women are generally quiet while Italian women are far more vocal. I always find it strange when people label the entire continent of Europe as if it is one country.
