The Macedonians were Greeks therefore their Empire was Greek Empire? Much like the Myceanean civilization or the Golden Age of Classical Greece were Greek too.

That the Macedonians were of Greek stock seems certain. The
claim made by the Argead dynasty to be of Argive descent may be
no more than a generally accepted myth, but Macedonian proper
names, such as Ptolemaios or Philippos, are good Greek names,
and the names of the Macedonian months, although differed from
those of Athens or Sparta, were also Greek. The language spoken
by the Macedonians, which Greeks of the classical period found
intelligible, appears to have been a primitive north-west Greek dialect,
much influenced by the languages of the neighboring barbarians."

I really like Romans, Phoenicians / Carthaginians (which is the same thing) the distinction between them it's just a modern mistake, Carthage was the first great metropolis of ancient times, before the Punic wars when Rome was just a city like others with "only" 50.000 inhabitants and houses made with bricks and straw roofs, Carthage was a huge city with 600.000 inhabitants and buildings with 5 or 6 floors, surrounded by the biggest defensive walls ever built (before the walls of Constantinopolis), with a military port that could contain 300 warships, their only flaw was the bad government, for this reason they didn't understand the Roman menace until it was too late.




However the more mysterious are the Etruscans, it would be great if we could discover the mystery of their origins and of their language (unrelated to any other known language)



Below, image reconstructions of Carthage, notice the walls on the land side, a triple wall, the highest was 13mt high and 10mt large, the 2nd and the 3rd were gradually shorter, inside the big wall there were barracks for about 20.000 soldiers, thousands horses and hundreds elephants; the acropolis (the hill of Byrsa) was also surrounded by another fortified wall to protect the government palaces and the temples of the gods. As we can see from the pictures the port was composed by a double structure, the rectangular part was the merchantile port, the round part the war port, separated from the merchantile port with iron gates, the island in the middle of the war port were the admiral's headquarters, around the perimeter of the war port and of the admiral's island there were 300 dry docks, each one containing a warship, in these dry docks the ships could be maintained always ready for use.
