Italian banks hold nearly a third of euro zone's bad loans: ECB

Italian banks are holding nearly a third of the 990 billion euros ($1.05 trillion) of unpaid loans at top euro zone lenders, European Central Bank data showed on Tuesday, underscoring the challenge facing Italy at a time of political and market upheaval.

The fact remains that Italy has had 0% growth ever since she joined the euro and Italian debt keep rising and rising. And that has nothing to do how bigger economy it is compared to other countries.

Italian debt (which is mainly an INTERNAL DEBT) is stable and immensely smaller than the one of Greece, which is a failed country that survives thanks to the money given by the International Monetary Fund, the Eurogroup and the European Central Bank.
Italy never took a single cent by such institutions.

the pil measure the market valor of all services and products produced in a country in a determined time gap.

In 2016 the Italian GDP increased in raw terms by 0.9% compared to 2015. The Italian economy did not grow at such a fast pace since 2010. If the estimate Istat today, provisional and based on aggregated data, should be also confirmed in March, according to the most thorough evaluations of the Institute of statistics, the + 0.9% would be the highest since + 1.7% chalked up six years ago.

Only an ignorant could compare Italy with a Greece, that is only small and irrilevant country.
Now India is 7th. Does that make her a superpower?

Turkey is not far behind, it is in G20.

Only part of it is internal, French and German banks hold most of it.

Every cent that Greece has taken went to save French and German banks, banks that have been involved in huge scandals. Not a cent of it went to the Greek economy. Greece was doing well before the Euro, it was doing well before it joined the EU. Greece should have followed the example of Iceland and declare bankruptchy back then. Draghi has intervened numerous times to save Italy, something he never did for Greece. The ECB also intervened illegally to save Germany from bankruptchy back in 99 when its stock exchange collapsed.
