Would have cost at least 800$+ for a white person to do it. No way white construction workers can compete with that.

Are you off a digit? That would have cost at least $8k up north, and taken at least a week to complete, even using illegal alien labor.

There are many white Americans I haven't met, but I've never known one who was too lazy to give an honest day's work for an honest day's pay.

On the other hand, illegal aliens are criminals. They have proven it by sneaking across our southern border when no one was looking, or when the Border Patrol was so beleaguered that they couldn't stop them. Many of these criminals are also willing to commit the felony of income tax evasion; therefore, they can charge less for their services, because they don't have to worry about income tax. Sometimes, some of these people do well enough that they can hire work crews for their businesses. If so, they routinely ignore any applicable state or federal laws; if so, they incur no costs of compliance.

In short, anyone who ignores the law has a lower cost of doing business, because there is no cost of obedience. Thus, illegal aliens can lower their prices and still make money.
