I like Nirvana, I used to be a huge fan of them when I was a teen. The reason they were so culturally important was because they killed off all that weak poseur 80s hair-metal bullshit and created a whole new genre and sub culture.

It's like the Sex Pistols, the music was half the part. It was the timing that was perfect and it changed the music scene forever.
