The study is quite new and the sample numbered 714 subjects. One of the main conclusions of this genetic study was that Transylvanians cluster closer to Central Europeans, Wallachians and Moldovans with Slavs and Dobrujans cluster far away from the rest of Romanians, somewhat closer to Turks.
One of the things that surprised me a bit is the Wallachians' affinity with Ukrainians regarding maternal lineages.
