One of the main factor that caused WWI that isn't even mentioned is the German railroad project from Berlin to Bagdad. The Brits weren't too thrilled by the idea.

Didn't watch the video, but as a child in the US they taught that the assassination triggered the war but as I've aged they revised the narrative in late high school and university that the war was an inevitability due to a rise in Military stock-holds and great advances in Military technology. All this and rising political tensions all that was needed was a spark, whether it was the assassination of archduke Ferdinand or some other crisis.
