Jesus was not of a cursed lineage as some claim

the Jeconiah who God said his seed ''shall not prosper sitting on the throne of david,ruling over judah''was a different Jeconiah that Joseph descended from

in Jewish-christian debate this is often brought up but its simply not true,and most people don't know there were 2 Jeconiah's.

Haven't listened to it, but I see it differently. David's seed was supposed to bring forth the Messiah. Solomon's line, which had the legal right to the kingdom of Israel, however, was cursed, and wouldn't bring forth the Christ. This is the lineage Joseph came from. Through Joseph, Jesus was legally a successor in the line of Solomon, but not by seed, while, through Mary, a descendant of the third son of David, Nathan, whose line wasn't cursed, he was of the seed of David.

Is easy curse a tree for not have fruits. Is easy curse a tree to die. Difficult is a tree turn back from the death.

When Jesus was walking and saw a fruitless fig tree, it represents the lineage of Jeconiah which God cursed to be "childless" (none descendent of him could be king of Judah). For jews, jesus was like fig tree without fruit, because He was the Messiah, but wasn't the militar king jews wanted. When Jesus cursed of death the sterile fig tree, it represents Himself receiving all the curses of the world with his own death. Even dead tree can give fruits again...

Jeconiah was a descendant of Solomon, Jeconiah was of his lineage. The point is, the legal title to the royal line of Israel, that of Solomon, which had been cursed because of Jeconiah's sinfulness, was necessary for Jesus to be king of the Israelites, while at the same time he couldn't be a descendant by blood of Jeconiah and Solomon's line. Joseph was a descendant of this line by blood, and therefore was legally entitled to it, but, due to the curse of this line, could never be king. What's really important here is that Jesus was the legal, but not biological, son of Joseph, and the biological son of Mary, who was the descendant of David, like Joseph, who had been promised that the Messiah would come to the world by his seed. By Mary, Jesus was a descendant of David, and by his legal father, Joseph, he gained the legal right of inheritance to the kingship of Israel and to be king of the Jews.
