I did this thread some time ago but it seems it got erased in a forum crash. Will repost it because it was a lot of work.

My own compilation using results posted in this site, other sites and other users compilations (Much more samples)

Obviously this is not perfect but it gives an idea.

    Nice one

Why didn't you make compilations for Chile? I reckon it had a decent number of results

Here's one I made with exactly 200 Puerto Rican results around a year ago as well.

More or less similar results to yours, just a few more samples. Also, pretty consistent with the studies published by 23andMe and Ancestry.

A bit less African/more Euro than many medical studies. Probably a result of geography (people from not just San Juan/New York), methods (less Southern Euro/NA mislabelled as African), and social class (more middle class people buying kits).

I agree if you're talking about full Middle Eastern people.

But the small % of North African almost all Latinos score is a different matter in my opinion. It's not really indicative of actual meaningful Middle Eastern Ancestry in that case - it's simply a residual component brought to Latin America by people from Europe who themselves scored some percentage of it. So I'd definitely say it makes sense to include it alongside European in a broader Caucasian category.

There is also significant "bleed" between the North African and Southern European categories. On 23andMe, I've seen Italian siblings score significantly different levels of Middle Eastern. Yet, there's no real difference between them in terms of ancestry - just in how the algorithms decided to label each individual segment. That is not the case with South Asian because the component is significantly more distant.
