One thing you could do is sell them item-by-item on eBay. But that requires a lot of work and wait. By what you're telling me, it should be worth a fair amount.
You're right. It would take weeks of work from my side. First I would have to get the albums and I don't know when I'm going to the Karoo again. Probably in winter around July-August because the cold temperature is better for my MS and certain constellations my husband wants to see are up then. I will bring the albums down when I go there and see how far I can get with them.

Both my parents collected stamps when they were young. They still keep them somewhere around their house. It's a thing of the past though. I can't remember the last time I saw a stamp, and I've certainly never bought any.
I collected old coins, some trading cards, dead dragonflies and pixie books as a kid. I now collect small pebbles and blue sea glass.
    Spoiler!

You can buy or sell SA stamps there. Looks like an SA-type copy of Ebay.

Yes, bidorbuy is South Africa's ebay version. Now I need those albums and go through ALL of them. This little undertaking could take years. And years. And years.

True. My mission is now to drive 600km to my mother. I'll do it when the weather is a little cooler than it is now.

I used to collect stamps in my childhood. It was quite a usual hobby back then (not anymore). AFAIK, my collection is quite ordinary, nothing particularly valuable. I'm going to sell it one day.
    Do what you should.
