There have been three murders in London in the last 24 hours and a one-year-old girl is currently fighting for her life.

Police are investigating the incidents – all of which happened separately over the weekend.

A one-year-old boy called Gabriel, believed to be the twin brother of the little girl in hospital, is among the dead, after a ‘domestic incident’ near Finsbury Park in North London on Saturday night.

They were both found with critical injuries and taken to hospital where the boy died. Bidhya Sagar Das, 33, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Witnesses heard a commotion in the street at around 11.10pm on Saturday night before the children were seen being carried out of the house.

A woman living opposite the building, who gave her name as Gui Gui, said she opened the window to offer help after hearing a woman shouting.

‘I was watching TV,’ she said. ‘I heard someone was shouting. She kept on shouting. I do not know what she was shouting. I opened the window and I asked her, “Can I help you, can I call the police for you?”

‘She said, “My kids”.’

Yesterday afternoon, shortly after lunchtime, a man was found dead in Hackney, north east London, at around 12.49pm. The victim is believed to be in his 20s. Police have arrested a 28-year-old man.
