So it is now generally accepted that most of Cuba's population is mulatto or mixed race. There has been a large exodus to the US, consisting mostly of whites. Were whites ever the majority in Cuba before Castro? I know there is census data that says yes, but even now the Cuban census shows a white majority. So what was the racial demography in Cuba before Castro? Were mixed race people the majority already? And the same question comes to mind about Puerto Rico.

If we consider whites 85% or more european, then I dont think that whites have been majority in Cuba before Castro. Cuba received heavy spaniard inmigration in the end of XXth century and beginning of XXth century, but most oficially "whites" in Cuba were poor rural people and mixed. The main diference in Castro era is Detroitization of La Habana. La Habana was mostly white before Castro and now it is probably the blackest city with Santiago de Cuba and Guantanamo.

4)Cuban studies done in the island show that "white" cubans are heavily european (70-100% euro range)

I dont know if Cuba is really 72% euro as the study says, or if the cuban census lies about the white %. But all data shows Cuba is very euro with many real whites.

Well those who are within the 70-80% euro range are not real whites, but mixed race.

No way it was never white majority and maybe after Castro it became more mixed race because Castro opened Cuba to Africans as he fought anti Boer white war supporting Blacks in Angaola and Zimbabwe. Also when you say whites in Latino countries Iberian niggah people with part Moor or West African ancestry like Viriato and Cristiano Viejo here are Whites there, so I think cuba was never whites imo.
