I won’t be Merkel’s lapdog! Le Pen launches scathing attack on EU in presidential debate

MARINE Le Pen has vowed she will not be Angela Merkel’s lapdog if she becomes president of France as she launched a scathing attack on the EU in the first presidential election.

The leader of the Front National declared she will protect France’s borders and protect French sovereignty if she wins the election.

Marine Le Pen came out fighting as the top candidates in France's volatile presidential election go head-to-head in a televised three-hour debate.

Asked what kind of president she hopes to be, Ms Le Pen, who wants to take France out of the EU, said she would not bow to Europhile German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Ms Le Pen said: “I want to be the president of the French Republic, truly. I am not going to become involved in a vague region in Europe. I don’t want to be the vice-chancellor of Madame Merkel.

“I don’t want to be the salesperson for multinational or large group. I want to be president of the French Republic which respects article five which states the president guarantees national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“It is not just empty words. Thousands of French people died for our national independence.

“It means the right to decide for themselves and I believe the French people have the right to choose to define their own identity to defend their values and traditions, to rearm when faced with international competition without being lectured or criticised by a supranational structure.”

Ms Le Pen, who is is leading polls to win the first run off next month, also took aim at the Schengen zone and vowed to protect France, which has been gripped by a string of deadly terror attacks in the last 18 months.

She said: “The French must be able to defend their own interests, not the interests of the banks, the interests of the financiers, or of some European capital that has made decisions in their stead.

“It is absolutely urgent to defend our society, to defend our borders against Islamic radicals who represent a major danger.

“We must rearm because of globalisation- to fight globalisation we have to fight the secular spirit that is developing.”

Ms Le Pen added: "The reason people no longer politicians is because they have handed over their responsibilities to the European institutions."

The televised debate, the first held before the first round of a French presidential election, may be crucial in helping viewers make up their minds.

Opinion polls show almost 40 per cent of voters are not completely sure who to back in the election, being held over two rounds on April 23 and May 7 against a backdrop of high unemployment and sluggish growth.

Polls show centrist Emmanuel Macron and Ms Le Pen establishing a clear lead in terms of voting intentions in the first round, while conservative candidate Francois Fillon, the one-time front-runner who has been damaged by a financial scandal, has slipped back.

The latest daily Opinionway poll showed Ms Le Pen scoring 27 per cent in the first round, in front of Mr Macron on 23 and Mr Fillon on 18. It found Mr Macron comfortably winning a run-off.

The other two candidates taking part in this evening's debate are the ruling Socialist Party's candidate Benoit Hamon and Jean-Luc Melenchon, who have split the left-wing vote.

MsLe Pen later clashed with Mr Macron over the burkini and secularism in France.

The Front National leader also called for a ban on legal and illegal immigration and warned security in France’s schools must be improved.

Mr Macron, a 39-year-old former economy minister and investment banker who has never run for elected office, said he was proud of his previous work.

He said: “As far as I’m concerned I’m not a member of the political establishment. I’m here because I’ve been working hard. I was a civil servant, a banker. I’m proud of having been a banker I became a government minister and I fought for what I believe in.

“I have seen what is blocking our country is ancient rules that are obsolete.

“Traditional parties who for decades have not been able to solve the problems of yesterday will not be able to solve the problems of tomorrow.”

Mr Fillon vowed to make France a significant power on the world stage.

He said: “I want to be the president of national recovery, that will free French democracy and free French from excessive taxes and regulations.

“I will place France on a path that will lead us to being top European power in less than 10 years.

“I will protect French from all forms of disorder. The state must assume its responsibility.”

For several years, I've respected, liked and admired the way Marine Le Pen, Nigel Farage, and Geert Wilders have all courageously stood-up against the EU dictatorship, and fought-back against the abusive Islamic ideology - despite all the mainstream media attempts of slandering Le Pen, Trump, Farage, and Wilders - desperately trying to brand them all with false labels, such as being 'racists', etc, in attempts of character-assassination to deceive the public against them - but the media lies against them didn't work.

I remember a few years ago when the massive dispute between ultra-liberal Madonna and Marine Le Pen broke-out after Madonna tried to portray Le Pen as being a Nazi during a music concert with a swastika painted on a huge picture of Le Pen's forehead, which was outrageous and offensive as Le Pen is not a Nazi. Marine was outraged and was fuming and she made Madonna pay the price for slandering and misrepresenting her to the public.

Madonna should apologise for defamation and character-assassination of Marine Le Pen. (Would Madonna like it if Marine branded Madonna with a false label back?!)

I was sad and very disappointed that Geert Wilders anti-Islamic and anti-EU PVV Freedom party lost in the recent Dutch election- although his party came second in the Dutch votes, showing that he's popular too.

Now tensions are running high with the forthcoming French election. France is the EU's second most powerful economy and Marine wants to free France back to independence from the EU control over France.

My English boyfriend is a huge fan of Marine Le Pen (he posts supportive comments about her on YT every week,) and he's over on YT right at this very moment thumbing-up so many of Marine Le Pen's speeches and videos, as well as thumbing-up and commenting on loads of anti-islam videos as usual.

I don't watch Marine Le Pen's videos as much as my boyfriend does as he idolises her a lot, but I wish that she'll win in the French election and help to break-down the corrupt EU. I've watched some of Marine's interviews over the last five years and from what I've seen of her so far, I think she's a good person. I despise Angela Merkel.

Good on Marine Le Pen who stands-up for the French people and for the French national interest - unlike that fat and corrupt cow Angela Merkel.

Free France from Islamisation! Independence for the French people against the corrupt EU that's run by the German dictator Angela Merkel!

How many more Islamic terrorist attacks will the French people tolerate before they say enough? And how many more people will be killed in France by ISIS terrorists before the French vote for someone who will stand-up and protect the French people, and put a stop to the bloodshed and atrocities that keeps happening in France?

It's for the French people to decide who represents their best interests when they vote for who they want to govern their nation in their election next month - but I really wish that Marine will become the new President of France. France is the EU's second largest economy and a Frexit would help to break-down the corrupt EU.

    Vive La France!

Angela Merkel is the most powerful woman in the world and she's endangering the European people with heavy Islamisation of our nations. Loads of Germans were raped by Islamic rapefugees and people keep getting murdered in terrorist attacks in France. The German Christian Democrat Leader Merkel who runs the EU keeps insisting on letting more and more muslims into Europe despite all the attacks that keep happening on the European people. She wants to be in control of orchestrating one single government over all of Europe.

'Angela Merkel looks even more scary and miserable when you see her close-up in real life than how she appears on television.' Nigel Farage during a Brexit speech against Merkel to a UK audience.

Two bombs went off and police cars were set on fire by German protestors against Merkel who are fuming at their country being Islamified after Merkel insisted on letting more muslim immigrants into Germany, despite a massive rape attack that happened in Germany by muslim refugees.

The Greek people hate Merkel too.

Actually, Marianne IS the symbol of France. She's as legitimate as Germania, Uncle Sam, Turul or Rodina Mat.

Cope with that, or move to Mars.

    Land back on Earth, princess.

The European Union isn't responsible for the sinking of Britain's economy. The blue-collar staff in Northern England should rather rebel against the Tories in London, who opened the country to transnational corporations which stole their jobs and delocated them in India. Exactly the kind of situation the EU tried to avoid.

Nigel Farage and Paul Nuttall believe that outside Europe, Britain will become a European Singapore. How naive they are. EU trade is vital for Britain's economy, its spinal cord with roughly 40% of all its imports (whereas the UK only represents 8% of all its exports.) What a strong imbalance.
Not to mention the fact that the UK is likely to loose Scotland and Northern Ireland. Great Britain would transform into Little England.

Furthermore, if Marine Le Pen was elected President, France would experience MORE terrorist attacks, as Le Pen's staunch islamophobia is no secret to anyone. She wants to increase France's defense spending, OK, but she seems to forget that 1000 tanks are powerless against invisible Human bombs. You don't kill mosquitos with a rifle.
