Default The Mansions of the Astors

Beechwood is a Gilded Age estate located on Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island.
It became the summer estate of the Astor family.
Beechwood became the show place for many of Mrs. Caroline (William Buckhouse) Astor's dinner parties.
When Mrs. Astor died she left Beechwood to her son John Jacob Astor IV.
