It may have been staged, but I also feel that the sympathy shown towards the Sikh is realistic. There is plenty of backward Islamism in Pakistan, but many ordinary Pakistanis and Indians are also suspicious about the true motives behind the partition of the Indian Empire. While they might go along with the nationalist bullshit, at some level, they also know they got played by the British, and that taking it out on each other is missing the point. In addition to the points raised by the so-called heroes of Pakistan in the video, there is also a decent dose of hospitality in Pakistan.

A few more points:
- The presence of a turban on one's head doesn't automatically identify one as a Sikh, although it is a powerful clue.
- Indian Sikhs regularly visit Pakistan during pilgramage. There are always a small number in the country and I doubt they encounter trouble.
- Pakistan was originally a secular state.
