Everything is leaning to the ancient stuff :
- Tourism : count how many tourists visit St. Nektarios in Aigina and how many e.g. the parthenon. Of course St. Nektarios is more important but how many know this?
- Names : christian names are used less and less. Young kids are given idiotically extreme ancient names, its laughable
- Symbols : nationalistic parties talk about ancient greece, nothing christian
- Basketball soccer teams : nothing orthodox, many ancient (Amyntas, Aris, Aiantas, Vyzantas, etc etc etc )
- Companies / hospitals : "Iron", "IRA"/ YGEIA. all of them use ancient names/symbols and not ORTHODOX
Basically even in schools the role of christianity is downplayed, ancient fanfare is plenty tho.

Btw Denmark,Iceland and England have state religions too.The Church of Greece is recognized by the Greek Constitution as the prevailing religion in Greece.[16] However, this provision does not give official status to the Church of Greece, while all other religions are recognized as equal and may be practiced freely.[17] Therefore, this provision is considered a dead letter and can only be interpreted as a nationalistic historical remnant.

Con,cause i'm against the subsidization of the church from state funds first and foremost and secondly i believe the church shouldn't voice political opinions, their character should be about preserving the Greek Orthodox religion, help people with their spirituality and nothing else.
