I don't know about other societies, but in our society nowadays the differences between orthodox and Catholic Christians are not perceived as important, I would say in daily routine as zero differences

I don't refer protestants cause there are no protestant Greeks,and as far as I know protestants have a special interest about money

Then Greeks have strayed from the path and became just like western european barbarians and Turks.

Greek identity was never about wealth, but culture and faith and it was completely opposite image to the modern west.
