In Indochina? Can you be more specific?

We backed you in Indochina, and suddenly you pull out, so we assist with the transition to decolonization. Later we get involved in the vietnam war. You dont help all.

Typical French behavior of pretending to be an ally.

We suddenly pull out? The war in Indochina last more than 7 years.

Yeah, ok we didn't blindly follow you in one war, so you conclude we generally betraye our allies.

De Gaulle wanted to unite Britain and France in one nation, supported Marshall's plan, European Union, Atlantic Pact and NATO creation with capital in Paris and decided to continue France's membership of the Atlantic Pact when it came up for renewal

Yes, France has done SOME things expected of them as an ally. But they have been inconsistent, much more so than any other major US ally.

Guy if we decide to left the place it wasn't to come back a week later to help you hold the place.

When you were fighting in Viet Nam we had our own war in north africa. Keep in mind France is smaller than USA, we can't handle as many loss and conflicts in a short period of time.
But we were present in many other wars (Korean war...).

I'm aware that you had to deal with Algeria at the time, but you could have at least given us token support, instead of the finger.

As far as the Korean war. Even ETHIOPIA sent more soldiers than France. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_War

Look more wider at this problem. It would be wrong to regard both World Wars as a different events. That was one time-stretched war with the same enemy German Reich + similar regimes. One time (1914-1918) strategy was successful and France played the main role in this victory, the next time-not . But it doesn't change the reality, Western coalition (France, UK and US) won again.
