    In the end people say 20th century Germanic century but when you look they regressed. Czech was very very Germanized after Czechoslovakia and USSR occupation they removed Germanisation and full Slavisation also there. And today Czechia is very west in Europe. Germans owned. Its like they lost almost %50 of all their territory all in eastern parts.

    Siyendi you should test your DNA because you are probably as much Turkic as East Germans are Germanic.

    Maybe not %100 but my thing is seen in taxo so genetics wouldnt influence too much just a bit of my reality for me. Focus on subject: Germans owned by Slavs.

    Certainly much more are Germanized Poles. But Germanized Sorbs are also there.

    All of East Germans have Slavic admixture because they don't cluster with West Germans.

    If they didn't have Slavic ancestry, they would overlap genetically with West Germans.

    No, Elbe Slavs were Germanized and mixed with German settlers who came from West Germany.

    If they didn't mix with them, then today East Germans would overlap with West Germans in PCAs.

    Why are East Germans genetically very different from West Germans in GEDmatch calculators, considering that Ostsiedlung settlers originally all came from West Germany (from areas to the west of the Elbe)?

    ==============

    Also R1a frequency correlates with former Slavic lands in 800-850 AD (peak of Slavic expansion):

    "Ludność słowiańska w rozproszeniu" = ethnically mixed (where Slavs were not clear majority):

    Slavic lands (orange) and German-ruled lands (black) in the 9th (IX) century AD:

    Black area = lands from which "Ostsiedlung" settlers came (ca. 400,000 km2)
    Orange area = Slavic-inhabited lands in the 800s (in total ca. 2,700,000 km2)

    Low German is another term for Saxon language. Anglo-Saxons originated as a confederation between different Germanic tribes namely Saxons, Angles and Jutes from North-Western Germany and Holland.
