Yes, artificial languages lack the evolved eccentricities of natural ones. Esperanto is also a solid hybrid of the Germanic and Latin languages with signifigant Slavic influence, so most of the world is at least an L2 speaker of a language which has influenced it.

How about Italian? When nations disagree, their negotiators could unexpectedly break into song, maybe not solving every problem, but certainly making them more operatically entertaining.

I have no idea. Regardless, I'd prefer it if people would be more willing to stand back and take a more objective look at the language; it was created with the purpose of being easy, which is evident when studying it. As someone who worships organization, that's very much appreciated.

I have tried on various occasions to learn Irish. I currently have Irish on Duolingo, but the app has its limitations. I am disappointed that more Irish people do not know Irish, same with the Welsh. I think that Irish, Scottish, and Manx Gaelic should combine into a single standardized Gaelic, agreed upon by committee, and that a board should be set up to produce audio, visual, and print media to disseminate the language. Prior to the incursions of English, Gaelic was considered a single language with the various forms merely considered different dialects.

I hate this video; it's a complete waste of time when you consider the points I have made above:

There has been conflict between the various local dialects of Irish Gaelic when deciding how to codify the Caidhean Oifigiul (~ pron. Cai-dawn Ofig-yool), the official standard Irish.

I believe that the first priority should be the survival and proliferation of Gaelic. If that means that there must be a mass simplification and standardization of phonology, orthography, and dialect leveling, so be it.

    EVOLVE OR DIE!!!

I've wanted to learn Scots Gaelic, but there are few resources available. Maybe I should just opt for Irish.

Poitrine is even used for females. In fact, it's a more polite way to talk about female breasts.

Actually, from a cursory glance of the language, it very closely resembles Spanish and a simplified Latin. Considering that Spanish has half a billion native-speakers, and its grammatical regularity allows one to achieve conversational fluency rather quickly, there is a reason why many contend that Spanish could become the world language. Until then, English will fulfill that role, which is proper because English speakers collectively have made an impression on several sectors of everyday experience i.e. media, business, science, technology, etc.
You didn't get the purpose of Esperanto. It's a neutral language, belonging to nobody. Spanish as world language would favour Spanish native speakers, and the world hegenomy English is biased in favour of Anglo-Saxons, which is unfair.

Life's not fair. Esperanto purports to contain elements of all languages. Not even close. It is a glorified Latine sine flexione with some Slavic elements. Spanish and English, due to their global hegemony, have foreign words from all over the world and 1,000,000,000+ speakers.

    I support it.

As a french (and it's true for most of the word), we will have to speak another language. I would prefer it's a neutral language who don't belong to any other country.
Also it's important the language is simple and that everyboody can learn it without too much effort.

In France most (close to all) people study in english during at least 7 years. How many are able to have a conversation or work in english? Honesthly not a high percent. We loose time and energy and at the end the result aren't good. It put us in a weak position where many other people are able to be fluent in english.
