I am a religious straight woman. I am still a virgin, because I believe that is something that a woman (or man) should cease being only on their wedding night.

I know this is not a common thing nowadays, and I admit that I'm not perfect, I so nearly gave into desire many times during my teenage years.

I've managed to fight it, but only by my conviction. I'm not an innocent person, there is no link I wont click, and I've been around the block so to speak, when it comes to depraved corners of the internet. So I certainly know about male anatomy, and I crave that anatomy like a drowing man does air.

I have come to realize that my conviction alone is quickly not becoming enough to stop myself from constant lust.

So the question is, how do you folks who hold similar views to me (I assume some of the 'nofappers' might) deal with your desires? What should I do?

Yep, we have been best friends for years, and we both want something more, but he is not a Muslim. My brother and I are currently exposing him to the religion, and is up to him if he wants to convert. I have made it clear to him that he should convert for love of Islam, not for me.

Are you born muslim or a convert ? Seems in your case there's lack of honest belief in religious values islam proscribes. You should relax and start a meaningful relationship with man you like, than see weather you want sex or not. Exposing somebody you like to religion like Islam just for sake of getting laid seems ignoble and selfish.

Try to think why rape is highest in muslim community- because of medieval moral code and rigidity that leaves many young men (and women) frustrated and mentally imbalanced. Either marry right away to muslim like you or be honest with yourself and try sex without caring about what islamic code says. Both is better than lusting over men on internet.

I'm a born Muslim, and I'm definitely more religious than most American Muslims. I'm not exposing him to Islam for the sake of sex. I want to marry him eventually, but I could never marry someone who didnt share the same religious conviction that I do, it just wouldnt work. Not to mention that Islam expressly forbids Muslim women from marrying non-Muslim men.

I believe that uncontrolled lust is sinful and wrong, but I dont want to start a religious debate here. I'm just asking what ways people here use tocontrol their lust.

Idk, try heavy physical activity like box, lifting or long-distance running. It helps to control sexual urges of athletes.
