These immigrants will side with Turks no matter what unless Turks start actively persecuting them. The issue with comparing Turkey to Yugoslavia is that Yugoslavia was made up of countries which all had their history, they were different in all aspects apart from language. In Turkey the people who come know they're immigrants so it's not like they can claim Turkish land and be right about it, you get more from giving people rights than from taking them away which is actually what the History of Yugoslavia teaches us, it was good when Ethnic groups gained (even minor) rights but once they started to lose all these rights, separatism appeared.

Also, Yugoslavia was never a nation, it was also distant from a Federation, it was closer to a Confederation.

How does Erdogan plan on Federalizing Turkey? I can't find any information on European medias which all focus on calling him a Sultan.
