Well where ur father is from sure explains the high balkan percentage. Have you had ur parents tested? I some how don't know how a half Hungarian would score such high e.e results. My mom is half Slovak and half north west euro and she doesn't come close to ur results

I havn't had them tested, it would be interesting.
My paternal Y Haplogroup IM233, I think is in itself originally Germanic or at least it peaks in Germanic countries but it turns up in many places all over Europe and even in Russia, the theory is that it had been dispersed around by Germanic groups.
Yes the Balkan % and East Euro is an interesting one, I suspect its from my paternal autosomal DNA... back there somewhere.
I dont have much of a Balkan or overly Slavic look, I probably fit more in with a central European look, I would probably looks wise fit well in Austria... but Im presentation wise quite a mix of my parents.

Yes my grandma who is American of mostly British isles/Western Europe descent scores 54% north west euro and 19 % e.e.
On DNA land I'm
43% north Slavic
4.4% finnish
34% north western euro
8% balkan

Your 3/4 Slovak then ?
Your North Slavic and East Euro scores are quite good then.
Wouldnt a full Slovak have a similiar N.Slavic to your DnaLand 43% ?

Yes I am. My father a full slovak scores 60% north slavic, but my I think Finnish and north Slavic are somewhat interchangeable, and also Balkans to some extent as it shows up in many north eastern euros. My parents have for example only north Slavic percentages and no Finnish and Balkans, but I do. My brother though ends up being 53% north Slavic and has no Finnish or balkan. So they all are connected in DNA land.

I'm pretty confident ur getting quite a bit of ur north Slavic and eastern euro from ur mother's side too. Do u know her family tree? A half Hungarian with no other eastern euro background wouldn't end up with such high results I'm quite sure. M mother who is half Slovak and essentially half British isles is 28% north Slavic and has no finish or balkan percentages. I've seen quite a few half Slovak results on DNA land and ancestry DNA results and she's quite typical. Slovaks are more eastern euro than Hungarians so u still have very high results for a half Hungarian.

My mother's side is English and Irish ... probably a bit more English than Irish.
The surnames in her family are typical of English-Irish names, I dont know of any continental or east euro ancestry there but I dont know too much about her deep ancestry or more than 2 to 3 generations back.
Well my East Euro on K10 is only 30.05, my North Slavic on DnaLand is 34%, and on FTDNA I get 27% East Euro in My Origins. From the calculators in Gedmatch I think Im getting just slightly over the Hungarian average for E.E, so possibly my father has a higher than avg N.Slavic too. You said your father gets 60% N.Slavic and your brother who is 3/4 Slovak gets 53%... thats only 7% less than someone who is full Slovak.

In Gedmatch Oracle single population calculators I often get Hungarian/Austrian/East German as closest population. Here are a couple examples.

Do you have some other Tajiks? It the only Central Asia nation which I don't see more than two or three kits.
