From what I've heard, a lot of the police/security forces are actually Cuban.

Its weird but bolivia is actually doing ok with a socialists government. Not great but they surviving well enough.
From what ive seen the reason why venuezela fell is the drop of oil and because they kept handing out benefits to people the government couldn't afford. But I dont know too much about it. Also probably some corruption.
It cost more for venuzela to actually export the oil.
