That s Because you live in a anglo-american culture/society
In italy and equivalent countries you would be considered standard in pigmentation
And outside like in africa, middle east, Asia you would he seen as fairish
Beside that even English people having lived all of their life in the Sunny Australia, California and south usa can have your tanning abilities
